Tania Dawson strives to provide excellence in nephrology care focusing not only on disease management but also disease prevention to help support the person as a whole. She achieves this through utilizing evidence-based practice and individualized treatment plans to empower patient autonomy and achieve the best possible outcomes. She chose to specialize in nephrology care as this specialty extends beyond the kidneys themselves. Tania says if she was not practicing medicine, she would be a dental hygienist.

Tania completed her undergraduate degree at MidAmerica Nazarene University in Olathe, Kansas.  She then attended Graceland University in Independence, Missouri becoming a Family Nurse Practitioner. She is board certified through the American Nurses Credentialing Center. Tania lived in Kansas City prior to moving to Des Moines where she practiced in nephrology for over 6 years. She is bilingual as she is proficient in English and Polish. 

In her free time, she enjoys fitness, traveling, and spending time with family. Her favorite travel destination is Aruba. Tania will be seeing patients at both of our office locations.
