Taera Mulder, PA-C is thrilled to be back in central Iowa, her home state, and specifically with the team at Iowa Kidney Physicians. She previously worked at IKP in 2007-2009 and then moved to Hawaii, Texas and Colorado with her husband's military career. Taera chose nephrology because it's an area of medicine where she can really connect with her patients on both a personal and professional level. Taking the time to educate patients about advanced kidney disease is her favorite part of her job. Taera loves spending time with her family, traveling, reading, playing pickleball, and shopping.
Taera completed her bachelor's degree at Morningside University in Sioux City and her master's degree at Des Moines University. Taera maintains her certification with the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and Iowa Physician Assistant Society (IPAS). She also serves on the CME committee with IPAS. Taera is located at our Methodist Plaza office, where she has been practicing since November 2022.
