ARANI D. NANAVATI, M.D.

Coming from a family of physicians and watching her father take care of patients, is what led Dr. Nanavati to the field of medicine. When asked what about her practice is important, she responded “I strive to be a physician who treats my patients like my family. I attempt to put myself in their shoes and would treat them the way I would like to be treated.” She is fluent in English, Hindi, and Guajarati. Outside of the clinic, Dr. Nanavati enjoys spending time with family, travelling, cooking, hiking, exercising, and listening to music.

Dr. Nanavati completed medical school in Ahmedabad, India. She was accepted to Western Michigan University School of Medicine in Kalamazoo, where she completed her Internal Medicine Residency. She went on to complete two Fellowships one in Nephrology, and the other in Transplant Nephrology. She is one of only three women in the Des Moines area to be trained and certified in Transplant Nephrology.      Dr. Nanavati has been practicing since 2018 and she will be seeing patients at both of our office locations.
