Dr. Belz’s philosophy is to provide compassionate, expert, and empathetic care to his patients. He chose the nephrology area of medicine because “it was more intriguing and challenging than critical care.” He resonates with the quote “All who wander are not lost” and stated he would probably be an engineer if he wasn’t practicing medicine. When he’s not seeing patients, Dr. Belz enjoys bicycling and reading.
Dr. Belz completed two undergraduate majors and two undergraduate minors from the University of Pittsburgh. He attended medical school at Washington University and began his residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Iowa. He then continued his education with a Fellowship at the University of Colorado Health and Science Center. Dr. Belz is board certified in Internal Medicine and Nephrology. Dr. Belz has been practicing since 2001. He will be seeing patients at both of our office locations.
