Dr. Belz completed two undergraduate majors and two under-graduate minors, simultaneously, from the University of Pittsburgh. He went on to attend medical school at Washington University in St. Louis, and then accepted a residency position in Internal Medicine at the University of Iowa. Being fascinated with Nephrology, Dr. Belz decided to continue his education with a fellowship at the University of Colorado Health and Science Center. Dr. Belz has served the people of Des Moines here at Iowa Kidney physicians since 2001. He is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Nephrology.

Dr. Buchsbaum was born and raised in Michigan. He attended the University of Michigan and completed his undergraduate studies in both Microbiology and Zoology. Dr. Buchsbaum completed a master’s Degree in biology before being accepting into medical school at Wayne State.
